In financial services, governing AI is inseparable from being able to prove it to a regulator. Automated credit, underwriting, pricing, and fraud decisions sit under fair-lending law, model-risk expectations, and adverse-action requirements — and the burden is not just to have a policy, but to show that the policy governed a specific decision about a specific applicant.
EVE AI Core is built for that. Each decision passes a deterministic gate that enforces the applicable policy, and each produces a signed, replayable record: which model, which policy version, what verdict. It is the enforcement-and-evidence layer for the decisions where being wrong is expensive and being unable to prove you were right is worse.

Because the policy pack version is embedded in each decision’s evidence, you can answer an examiner’s question about a decision from last year with the exact rules that governed it — not a description of your current policy.
EVE CoreGuard is a pre-execution gate on the decision itself. A proposed approve/deny/price is risk-scored and evaluated against the fair-lending and model-risk policy packs, and the gate returns a deterministic ALLOW, BLOCK, or MODIFY before the decision is issued. The path is fail-closed, so an ungoverned or non-conforming decision is refused rather than released.
The determinism matters for exams: the same inputs always produce the same verdict, and any decision can be replayed to show it. That is the difference between “our model usually behaves” and “this decision was governed, and here is the proof.”
Every governed decision emits an Ed25519-signed certificate — the inputs, the verdict, the model, and the policy version — hash-chained into a tamper-evident trail with signed Merkle roots and verifiable offline. That is a per-applicant, per-decision audit trail an examiner can check independently, without trusting a dashboard or your word for it.
When a fair-lending review or a model-risk exam asks “show me how this was decided,” the answer is a signed record you can verify rather than a reconstruction. Data can stay in your tenant — SaaS, VPC, or on-prem deployment.
